HemiStereo NX is world’s most powerful AI-enabled depth sensing camera. It features an extra-wide field-of-view together with an ultra-high resolution, all in a compact, robust and affordable package.

The integrated NVIDIA® Jetson™ embedded super-computer allows powerful on-device computation fo task such as real-time mapping (SLAM), 3d reconstruction (SfM) or AI inference tasks. This independence from external computation resources opens a new flexibility to the design of you application. You choose whether you want to build your application directly inside the device or combine multiple devices over network. Please refer to Software section to learn how do develop applications using HemiStereo NX.

HemiStereo NX is powered by the latest revision of our ground-breaking HemiStereo® technology. It allows real-time depth sensing for extremely wide viewing angles of up to 180°. HemiStereo is a new stereoscopic vision approach based on flexible generic camera models. This allows precise 3d sensing using different optical systems including conventional rectilinear as well as specialized optical systems such as fisheye lenses. Please refer to section HemiStereo Technology for details about working principle and details about HemiStereo.


HemiStereo NX is available in four different models. Depending on your application you can choose between two optical and two compute configurations. Please refer to the model numbers below:

  • HS-NX-180N: Fisheye Stereo Vision + NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™

  • HS-NX-180X: Fisheye Stereo Vision + NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier NX™

  • HS-NX-90N: Wide-Angle Stereo Vision + NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™

  • HS-NX-90X: Wide-Angle Stereo Vision + NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier NX™

Optical Configurations

With HemiStereo NX you can choose the optical system that fits your needs. Choose between two models with different lens systems:

  • Low-Distortion Wide-Angle Stereo Vision (HS-NX-90)

  • Ultra-Wide Fisheye Stereo Vision (HS-NX-180)

The specifications for the two different available optical configurations are shown in Table 6.1.


The optical configuration has to be chosen at the time of purchase and cannot be changed later. The two variants use different lens types. Lenses are glued in at the time of production to ensure long-time stability of the camera calibration.

Edge Compute Configurations

HemiStereo NX is available with either NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™ or NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier NX™ Developer Kits. While Jetson Nano provides great affordability, Jetson Xavier NX brings the maximum performance for real-time applications, such as mobile robot navigation.

Please refer to Table 6.2 for details about the different models.


Please choose the compute configuration at the time of purchase, according to your needs. While you can replace the included Jetson Developer Kit by a different model later, doing so may affect camera calibration. If calibration is lost we can offer re-calibration of your unit for a fee. Contact for additional support.



The device is compliant with the European CE requirement. To ensure health and safety you have to use the provided supply with the device. Make sure the cooling fins are in free air and allow convection.


Warranty can only be ensured if you don’t open the device housing. As the device can be used as development kit please contact the support if problems with e.g. the device calibration occur after opening the housing. Please make sure to handle the device with care. Make sure you don’t place the device on the lenses as it may physically harm the lenses.
