Firmware update#

The firmware update is performed in the user interface via web-browser. Please check out config_ui for further information on how to access it.

In the "system" view, the current firmware version can be checked. Also, an online check for a new available firmware can be executed (if the C7 smart camera is directly connected to the internet). For on-premise setups, a new firmware file can also be uploaded manually. Just upload the firmware file which you received from 3dvisionlabs, by clicking the upload button (next to "check for updates"). The upload and upgrade process triggers automatically.

Danger

The firmware upgrade will take some time. Please do not switch off the C7 smart camera during the update.

Warning

The firmware upgrade is only possible with 3dvisionlabs signed firmware images. Other Jetson images (e.g. the original Nvidia JetPack) will be rejected during the consistency check. This is also a security measure in your best interest, as attackers cannot flash corrupted images. Additionally, during each boot the firmware signature is checked for corruption.

Once the update succeeded (given a few minutes), please refresh the website. The new firmware version should be reported as "version installed".
